Curriculum and Assessment

Coronavirus Closure

Following government guidelines, Sir Jonathan North is now closed. Beauchamp College in Oadby will be open to children of key workers at Sir Jonathan North, Judgemeadow  and Brocks Hill Primary School who have registered for a place.

Our curriculum is designed to ensure that students have a rewarding and enjoyable experience of school and are prepared for future study at GCSE and beyond.

CURRICULUM

We have worked closely with our local primary partners on carefully designing a curriculum that builds on prior knowledge while stretching learners with new challenges. We have also used our track record of consistent GCSE success to develop a five year pathway that steadily builds toward GCSE and beyond. Our curriculum is broad, balanced and promotes development of our values to ensure our students foster a love of learning and are prepared to face the challenges of tomorrow.

ASSESSMENT

In order to ensure that students are making the right progress we feel it is important to regularly assess and monitor performance. This is done through a number of subject assessments carried out throughout the year. The results of these are used to track individual performance and put in any necessary intervention as soon as it is needed. Parents/carers are updated regularly throughout the year through termly data snapshots, tutor and parent evenings. Parents/carers can also access progress data.
