ABOUT SIR JONATHAN NORTH GIRLS' COLLEGE - info for journalists
Sir Jonathan North Girls’ College is Leicester’s only all-girls multi-faith state secondary school. It is located on the outskirts of the city and educates girls aged 11 – 16 years. The school joined Lionheart Educational Trust in 2019 and has around 1200 students on roll, also employing around 140 staff members.
In 2025, the school was inspected by Ofsted and awarded ‘Outstanding’ across all judgement areas. Sir Jonathan North Girls’ College is led by Associate Principal, Dr Helen Coles-Hennessy and Executive Principal, James McKenna.
