Early Closure – Tuesday 13th October

On Tuesday 13th October 2026, the college will close early at 12:25 pm to allow for a collaborative planning afternoon for staff. All students will be taught on-site as usual until 12.25pm and for the afternoon session, students will be set online learning activities. Details of this work will be sent out prior to this.

MailOut is our bespoke in-house service that sends messages directly to parents from staff at Sir Jonathan North.

Parents/carers are regularly emailed resources to support learning and be kept up to date with important information. Examples of emails sent are:

  • Information on day and residential trips
  • Letters
  • Details on revision classes on offer
  • Coursework deadline reminders
  • News on college productions
  • Details of parent/carer and student days and open days

Rather than relying on students to act as couriers, these messages regarding your child/children’s education arrive directly in your inboxes as with all other messages. Those registered with MailOut receive their children’s reports a day or two earlier than parents/carers who receive paper copies. Parents/carers appreciate this efficient form of education and feedback has been very positive.
