Sir Jonathan North Winter Music Concert

On Thursday 8th December, the Expressive Arts team hosted our annual Winter Music concert in the drama and dance studio.

Over 65 students from Years 7 to 11 performed in front of a sell-out audience of over 125 parents, family members, and friends as well as Mrs. Angus and Mrs. Greaves who had front-row seats.

In keeping with SJNGC tradition, the students outdid themselves on the night showing true resilience and resourcefulness and delivering truly outstanding performances despite the pressure and nerves of a packed house.

There was a wide range of vocal styles including a Year 7 vocal ensemble, solo singers, vocal duets, and musical theatre numbers. There was a variety of instrumental pieces featuring ukulele, solo piano, violin, cornet, and full band performances. For the Finale, we were treated to a preview of the upcoming ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ production featuring some of the show’s cast.

We are looking forward to opening our theatre doors again in March for this exciting musical production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ followed by our Summer Arts Festival in July.
